This mixed use central London project concerns the redevelopment of the old Royal Mail sorting office at Mount Pleasant in Farringdon.

The development will be in two phases. The first phase called West Central 1, on the Phoenix Place site, will see the construction of four new buildings ranging from 6 to 15 storeys high. This will include 214 new homes, 82 of which will either be affordable rented or intermediate homes. There will be 2 levels of basement parking, plant rooms and over 800sqm of retail and public spaces, including an interior courtyard and open landscaped spaces. Cycle parking areas are also planned.
Work has now started on site, with first completions expected in 2020 and final completion in 2021.

The project is being delivered in BIM using Revit 2018. The scheme has been designed to reach a BREEAM “Excellent” rating.
