In 2014, it will become Lyon\u2019s fourteenth bridge over the River Sa\u00f4ne. The Schuman Bridge links the districts of Croix-Rousse and Vaise and marks the entrance to the city and the conurbation.\r\nThe bridge consists of triangular-section arches that have the distinguishing feature of being very slender at their point of origin. Longitudinal box girders are suspended from these arches by means of cables fitted with spherical ball joints.
