This bridge is supported on a single intermediate column. Both spans have their principal structure in steelwork, the box girder sections being reinforced by compression arches for the navigable section, underslung tension arcs for the secondary span. The thinness of the deck allows for a low gradient slope for both pedestrians and cars (4%).
