Terrell undertook the project to install a screen to receive a decorative metal mesh. The mesh structure, with a length of approximately 240 metres, extends over the entire north façade of the exhibition hall and rises to a height of 20.5 metres, exceeding that of parts 1 and 3 of the hall and stopping 8 metres below the parapet of the central nave. The mesh superstructure is composed of a series of free-standing metal posts. These posts are interconnected at several levels by metal webs acting as vertical and horizontal supports for the mesh. The building features concrete strip foundations.
