The work envisaged as part of this project focuses on a specific area around the Olympic track and the historic grandstand, and involves a number of modifications.

Underneath the historic grandstand, parts of the ground floor will be modified to meet the needs of the project. Around the stadium, two new stands will be built (East and South). In addition, toilet facilities will be built for the comfort of spectators, as well as a medical room for providing first aid during events. To the north of the stadium, a new metal-framed building will be erected, comprising a first floor with a technical mezzanine over the ground floor.

This building will house reception areas (bodega sit-down catering), a shop and a restaurant/bar area, as well as technical rooms. The stadium’s capacity will be increased to 14,000.
