Structural Engineering Design

The project involves the restructuring (retention of volume) and modernisation of the office building. The site incorporates two high-rise buildings (18-storey and 12-storey) constructed on a shared car park plinth with 3-storey satellite buildings. Built in 1960 by the architect Pierre DUFAU, all of the structures are reinforced concrete.
For both high-rise buildings, the restructuring works consist of major restructuring of the vertical circulations to optimise their operation as offices while retaining the volumes of the buildings and complying with the constraints of the LDP and the various regulations in force. All of the bracing is reinforced concrete. Existing bracing is retained during the construction of new partition walls and then demolished. All of the finished buildings will enable the fitting-out of floor plates of offices compatible with the needs of current and future users, as part of an ambitious environmental and energy certification (HQE “EXCEPTIONNEL” LEVEL and BREEAM OUTSTANDING LEVEL).
The plinth buildings are completely rebuilt with smaller footprints.
Mutabilis realised gardens and external design.
