Reinforced concrete and timber structural engineering

The project consists of the construction of a facility comprising two school complexes, each having 13 elementary and kindergarten classes, a leisure centre and a school canteen.

The premises will comprise:

  • A ground floor concrete structural lower slab, supported on tie beams. It is built on hollow-stem auger bored pile deep foundations.
  • A ground floor plinth concrete post and beam structure, and solid slabs for the ground floor upper slab,
  • A first-floor storey with concrete cores and a composite timber-concrete structure for the first-floor upper slab, with timber haunches, concrete slab and metal connectors, timber columns, concrete main beams,
  • On the roof: photovoltaic panels, plant rooms.
