Primary structure : Cross Laminated Timber

Rue de Bretons uses a cross laminated timber structure to deliver a 35,000 m2 mixed used office-retail-hotel complex above a basement car park.

The structure takes the concept of flat slab design into timber construction eliminating downstands beams. This simplifies coordination and allows full-height glazing to be used throughout which maximises daylight within the building.
