The “Cristal” Tower is part of a complex of buildings located at 7-11 Quai André-Citroën in Paris’ 15th arrondissement.

Given our collective responsibility to take action in the face of climate change, and in line with the City of Paris’ Climate Plan, this project went beyond the regulatory requirements alone, instead adopting a consumption standard of 80kWh of primary energy/m²/year, meeting the target set in the Paris Climate Plan and in compliance with France’s 2012 Thermal Regulations targeting reductions of 35%.

This performance has been achieved thanks to the range of measures introduced as part of the project, including:

– Replacing the envelope and improving its performance;

– Installing solar shades, reducing energy needs by 40% on office floors;

– Replacing production and ventilation systems, opting for a mix of urban networks and geothermal energy;

– Motorised openings, controlled by the building management system, allowing night-time cooling in summertime;

– Installing an adiabatic cooling module on office air conditioning units.
